Did you know that there are 45 cats and dogs for every person born? Only 1 out of 10 dogs and 1 out of 12 cats born ever find a home. A shelter dog or cat is euthanized every 1.5 seconds simply because there are not enough homes for them all, and Nashville’s Metro Animal Care and Control alone euthanized about 10,000 dogs and cats last year.
Forget-Me-Not is not a shelter, it is a rescue. Rescuing and rehabilitating animal companions is not just
what we do, it is who we are. We work hard to find every animal a loving home, but not a single cat or dog
is ever euthanized for not finding one. Every animal is worked with personally to help it become the
best companion it can be, including basic training.
How can you adopt from Forget-Me-Not Animal Rescue? One option is to check our listing on Petfinder, which includes courtesy posts from other rescues and urgent posts from high-kill shelters. Some of our PetFinder pets are listed on the widget below. You can also contact Sarah Geny by phone (615-613-4813) or by e-mail(sara@fmnar.org).
We also have a Flickr group for people who have already adopted from Forget-Me-Not! It can be viewed by and added to by anyone!
